Below is the need to know for this Jeep Wrangler JK HEMI 8 Speed upgrade kit:

This is a complete install kit only for your selected model of Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU. This is for yourself or a shop near you to perform the install. No labor is included in this price.

This is an 8 Speed HEMI Upgrade Kit only. This is meant for a Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU that already has a HEMI conversion installed. This kit will work with ANY HEMI conversion, including those not done by Dakota Customs.

This kit includes a brand new 8 Speed Transmission, PCM Reflash, and all the applicable custom parts curated by Dakota Customs.

If you have selected a 2012-2018 JK/JKU that has an existing automatic transmission then you will need to purchase a different transfer case in order to use the 8 Speed Transmission. You can use the Manual Transmission Transfer Case from a 2012-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU or any transfer case from a 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU. Alternatively, you can order and use an Atlas transfer case. The proper information for ordering an Atlas case can be provided at your request. The transfer case is NOT included in this install kit purchase due to varying customer needs and preferences.

If your Jeep has an existing manual transmission then your install kit will include the necessary parts to change to an automatic transmission. This will include the automatic style brake pedal/pivot, the center console top shifter section, and the automatic style master cylinder reservoir.

The 8 Speed upgrade works with either a manual transmission or automatic transmission Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU.
